Rev. Timothy M. Ritter, Senior Pastor

Favorite Bible Verse

"For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them." ~Romans 12:4-6a

It is good to be back once again in Wisconsin Rapids! Immanuel was the first church I served following graduation from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis in 2011 and is also where I was ordained. It is a tremendous honor and privilege to be called once again to serve the faithful members of Immanuel as your pastor.

My wife Robyn and I have been married since 2005 and have two boys Micah and Eli who are looking forward to spending their summer hanging out at the new aquatic center and reconnecting with old friends, while also making new ones over the summer before they resume school next fall at ILS.  Robyn and I also are looking forward to reconnecting with all of you!

I am passionate about connecting people to God's Word and empowering them to use their gifts and talents they have received from God.

The school's theme this year is "Connected" (John 15:5).  Share a time in your life when you saw the importance of being connected to Jesus.

While in the military, I leaned upon my faith to get me through one of the most challenging times in my life. It was comforting to know that just as I was praying to Jesus, my family, friends and my church were also praying to Jesus back home.

Besides necessities, what is one thing you could not go a day without?

Beyond the necessities such as food and water , shelter and clothing…I would say the one thing I couldn't go a day without is the grace of God which is offered freely to all on account of Jesus Christ.
