Favorite Bible Verse:

Psalm 46:10  "Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."

I was born and raised in Rochester, MN. I attended Concordia University in Seward, NE and graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a certification as a Director of Christian Education, with an emphasis on Youth and Family Life Ministry. It was at Concordia that I met my husband, Tim and we were married in August of 2005. We have been blessed with two sons, Micah and Elijah and enjoy the fact that everyone in our family was born in a different state. (Tim--Daytona, FL, Robyn--Rochester, MN, Micah--St. Louis, MO, Elijah--Wisconsin Rapids, WI)

I have served as a DCE at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Marquette, MI and worked in various capacities at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with School in Delavan, WI, most recently as a middle school teacher. In 2021, I completed the American Board Teaching Certification program for 1-8th grade General Education and 5-12th grade Math and received my teaching license.

In my "free time", I enjoy spending time with my family, watching and playing sports, kayaking, hiking, camping, visiting National Parks and just spending time in God's creation.

The school's theme this year is "Connected" (John 15:5).   Share a time in your life when you saw the importance of being connected to Jesus.

It's been during difficult and challenging times (Mom's death, moving multiple times, job changes, miscarriages), but also joyful times (marriage, birth of my sons) that I think God has reminded me to stay connected to Him and to trust in His timing in everything. I'm reminded of God's grace and presence in my life through it all and just need to "Be still and know that He is God."

What is your earliest memory?

When I was 3 years old, I broke my leg. I don't remember breaking it, but I do remember having the cast on and the "tickle" feeling of having it cut off.
