Favorite Bible Verse:

Jeremiah 17:7-8 "“But blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”

I was born and raised in a mid-sized town on the southern border called Yuma, Arizona (the sunniest place on Earth!). After being accepted to Concordia Irvine I spent a few years in California before transferring to Concordia Nebraska. My husband Chad and I just recently moved to Wisconsin and are loving it so far! I am overjoyed to begin my first year teaching at Immanuel.

Although I would love to be able to say that I always wanted to be a teacher, when I was young I would say that when I grew up I would be a “rockstar”. Shockingly, that hasn’t happened yet. Teaching was the second career I began to strive towards!

Children are the foundation of the future and deserve to be invested in and built upon. This is why teaching is a job that I cherish because each moment that I get to spend with my students is invaluable! Additionally, being given the opportunity to do my best in fulfilling the Great Commission and help my students strengthen their faith in Jesus is a blessing.

The school's theme this year is "Connected" (John 15:5).   Share a time in your life when you saw the importance of being connected to Jesus.

I felt that it was important to be connected to Jesus when I got engaged to my now husband. It was such an exciting time! When we did marriage counseling with our Pastor before the wedding, we talked a lot about how a marriage should be rooted in Jesus. I felt very connected to Him when we made that step!

What is something on your bucket list?

A bucket list item for me would be to travel out of the country. I have been out of the country once, but I was really young and I don’t remember it well. I would love to make some new traveling memories!
