I grew up in the Milwaukee area. I moved to Stevens Point for college, where I graduated with an Elementary Education degree in May 2019 and currently reside. I have a large family and they are a big part of my life. As cliche as it sounds, since I was little I have always wanted to be a teacher; I always looked up to my teachers in the classrooms and when I was younger, that is what I played when I was at home (even if it was by myself).  I did my student teaching in a first grade classroom and I LOVED it so much. I am so excited to spend my time here at Immanuel and am so thankful the staff and faculty are so supportive and caring.

The school's theme this year is "Connected" (John 15:5). Share a time in your life when you saw the important of being connected to Jesus.

I think one time (actually many) I felt the need to be extra connected with Jesus is during the loss of a loved one. During the time grieving I think it is common that one may feel alone; but to know that you are not alone, both with Jesus and others, is important to remember. You may not always understand why someone was taken from our world, but God has a plan for everything and that not only includes the one you lost, but you as well—the one grieving—staying connected to Him during this time gives the strength to understand and keep moving forward even though you just lost a loved one. The connection He gives even when He is not physically here with us is showing His unconditional love.

Where is one place you've always dreamed of going? Why there?

Although there are many places I have always dreamed of going, I would love to be able to go visit so many places in Europe. I think it looks so beautiful over there and there are so many different cultural things I would love to be able to visit and experience. I have a very big European heritage background and would love to be able to see what it is like over there and learn more about my background cultures.
