Ruby's Pantry Mobile Food Distribution

Third Saturday of every month

Ruby's Pantry continues to be a  “drive through” distribution.

The next distribution will take place on Saturday, September 19 at the Pitsch Elementary School at 501 17th St South, Wisconsin Rapids.

(Note: We are at the same place as always. The Boys & Girls Club has moved, but Ruby’s Pantry has not)

  • The distribution will start at 8:30 am and will be drive through ONLY.
  • We will distribute from 8:30-10:00 or until the food is gone!
  • EXPRESS TRACK ONLINE PAY IS NOW AVAILABLE! Go to  www.rubyspantry.org   to register for your scheduled pickup.
  • See map for area where Online Pay vehicles will line up.
  • Guests who pay cash will enter the parking lot off Pear St. and will be directed where to go once entering the lot. If there is a line of vehicles on the street, please position your vehicle at the end of the line...see map.
  • Please STAY IN YOUR VEHICLES as we practice safe social distancing.
  • No boxes/baskets needed… The food will be pre-boxed, so please leave your boxes/baskets at home.
  • Please make sure the back of your vehicle is cleaned out so volunteers can put your bundles in your vehicle for you.
  • We ask for a $20 cash donation per bundle of food. If you have a certificate number from last spring, you may present that in place of cash as you come through the cash only line.
  • Have questions? Email mmertens@immanuelrapids.com

Thank you for your patience as we work through the pandemic safely and practice social distancing.

VOLUNTEER

Thank you dedicated Ruby's volunteers!

HELP! We still need more volunteers... Please considering helping!

Our “drive through” distribution is going well, but the number of bundles/shares is going up. With that comes more food to be separated and distributed. We have a phenomenal group of volunteers who have been working very hard these past months and we would like more people to consider helping.

We appreciate all you do and we welcome any amount of help you can give!

We do have guidelines that we ask people to follow. If you are in the "at risk" category, please

consider the risk and then decide if you want to help… we want you safe and healthy.

We are looking for 50+ volunteers. We have a health screening process that we are asking volunteers to go through to keep everyone safe from illness.

Your health is important and so is the health of others.

● If you are sick or have any abnormal symptoms on Saturday, September 19 - PLEASE STAY

HOME!

● If you have been exposed to COVID-19 or have a family member who was exposed within the last 14 days - PLEASE STAY HOME!

● We will have PPE and hand sanitizer available for you to use.

● We are asking everyone to follow the state mandate of wearing a mask.

● There will be times due to the nature of the work that you will be working with others and social distancing will be more difficult.

● There are 3 time slots where we are asking people to serve. They are listed below.

● Be ready to work when you arrive and be prepared for a possible health screening as well.

Time slots where volunteers are needed:

● 6:00 – 8:00 am | Unload truck and sort pallets (20 needed)

● 6:30 - 8:00 am | Assemble empty boxes (5 needed)

● 8:00 – 10:30 am | Distribution process of pre-loading bundles/shares and loading in vehicles

(25+ additional people needed = 50+ total)

Please let us know if you can help by sending an email to: mmertens@immanuelrapids.com.

If you have not filled out the new volunteer registration form on the Ruby’s website please do so:  https://www.rubyspantry.org

This is required by Ruby’s Pantry and if the form is not filled out may delay your acceptance as a volunteer in the future.

Again, email mmertens@immanuelrapids.com if you would like to volunteer. Thank you!
