Favorite Bible Verse:
“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7
I am a mother to a sweet seven-year-old and am recently engaged. I grew up in Lansing, Michigan, and Chicago, and moved to the North 13 years ago. This will be my 6th year working at Immanuel running our Cougar Kids program, and my daughter has attended this school since she was two. I love animals, reading, doing puzzles, drawing, playing video games, and making people smile.
Our school’s theme this year is “Endure” (Hebrews 12:1-3). Briefly share a time in your life when you felt you needed the endurance that only God can provide. How can you use your experience to share God’s love with the students and families in our school?
When I first started working at Immanuel my daughter was two and I was a recently single mother. I was working at the Stevens Point hospital full time in between and after my hours at school doing Cougar Kids. Having two jobs, trying to start over, and raising a toddler brought some of the hardest trials I’ve had to endure in my adult life. My human nature constantly questioned God and His path for me since I couldn’t see the light at the end of the tunnel, but continuing to trust that He had a plan for me gave me the endurance to keep pushing forward to being the woman He designed me to be.
