I was born and raised in Wisconsin Rapids. After graduating from Assumption High School in 1998, I attended UW-Eau Claire, where I obtained a bachelor’s degree in accounting. I lived in Superior, Wisconsin, for three years, where I continued my education in order to get enough credits to sit for the CPA exam. I married my wife in 2004, and we moved back to Rapids in 2005. Upon moving back, I worked a few years in public accounting. In 2007 and 2008 we welcomed the arrivals of our son and daughter into our family. Also, in 2008 I sat for my CPA exam and became a Certified Public Accountant. In 2009 I accepted a job that I still currently hold at WM. I currently serve Immanuel in the roles of both the treasurer and the bookkeeper.
Our school’s theme this year is “Endure” (Hebrews 12:1-3). Briefly share a time in your life when you felt you needed the endurance that only God can provide. How can you use your experience to share God’s love with the students and families in our school?
When our son was little he was in and out of the hospital many times. There were a lot of tests and no answers. God gave me the strength and patience to get through all the uncertainties. Now I’m able to have more empathy for others who might be in a similar situation with family members in the hospital.
