I’m excited to be a pastor of Immanuel Lutheran and to be back in my home state! The path to get here took my wife, Anna, and I in and out of Wisconsin several times.
After we both graduated from Concordia University-Wisconsin, I moved out of Wisconsin for the first time to go to the Seminary. After two years in St. Louis, Anna and I came back to the state for my vicarage year in Antigo, WI. At the end of that time we found ourselves moving south once more. In April of 2024, we received the great news that I had been called to Immanuel to serve as their Associate Pastor and in July of that year, we moved back into Wisconsin again.
Anna and I have been married since July 2020 and have one daughter, Eleanor. Our family loves to go on walks, explore outside, and play board games (even though Eleanor is still too young to do so).
I am excited to share the love of Christ with everyone at Immanuel and in Wisconsin Rapids!
Our school’s theme this year is “Endure” (Hebrews 12:1-3). Briefly share a time in your life when you felt you needed the endurance that only God can provide. How can you use your experience to share God’s love with the students and families in our school?
Two years ago, my wife and I had just moved and we were starting to settle into to our new area. Our second week there, I got a phone call late at night. When I picked up, the person on the other end shared that my cousin had died suddenly. It was a hard night, morning, week, and several months. The death of a loved one is not easy, especially when it happens suddenly. The only thing that brings comfort in a time like that, the only thing that brought comfort to me, was knowing that our God is a loving God, abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness. A God who goes with us in those difficult times, helping us to endure suffering and heartache.
