Favorite Bible Verse:

“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him would not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

I was born and raised in Wisconsin Rapids. I went to St Paul’s Lutheran School, Lincoln High School, and Midstate Technical College. I worked for 15 years at Renaissance Learning, which is where I met my husband, Jeff. I also owned and operated a pottery studio for many years called Under the Sun Pottery Fun, and I am a certified Turbo Kick instructor. After having our two children, I left Renaissance Learning to become a stay-at-home mom. Now that my children are both in school full time, I’m fortunate to be able to work as a teacher’s aide at Immanuel. Our family enjoys camping, and we have two cats named Latte and Lola and a leopard gecko named Sisu.

The school’s theme this year is “Connected” (John 15:5). Share a time in your life when you saw the importance of being connected to Jesus.

Most recently I felt a connection after the passing of my mother-in-law. Throughout my grief, I also felt a strong sense of calm knowing she was pain free now and with our Savior.

What is your most recent favorite memory?

I don’t think I could list just one favorite memory. I feel like I’ve been blessed with countless amazing memories. From family vacations and holidays as a child, to making new memories with my husband and children.
