Immanuel has been on a 20 year journey. We have continually talked about moving to a new home for ministry. We purchased and paid for 52 acres of land next to Home Depot. But we have not found a project that could move forward.
Caitlin Shuda, an Immanuel Board members, believes we ready to change that. "This time around feels very different ... we have a Senior Pastor who is dedicated and trusted in this congregation, and we have Jon and Ken as strong advocates driving this project. We also have bigger plans for Immanuel than a building (we are the church). We have a Strategic Plan that includes a facility master plan, but it's so much bigger than that. I think that in the past, we saw a new building as a finish line to cross, and now it's more of a benchmark along our path. ... Ultimately, it's God's will that will be done. But it's also pretty exciting to be part of whatever comes next."
Immanuel will come together on Sunday, February 5 at 6:00pm to set our direction together. The Congregational Assembly will take place in the sanctuary. Members will also be able to attend the meeting online through a link that was emailed to them.
Please stop back through the days and weeks ahead, as this page will continue to be updated piece by piece.
