What is MOPs?

MOPs (Mothers of Preschoolers) is for any woman who has a child from birth through kindergarten.

At MOPs, little ones are dropped off  with loving caregivers as part of the MOPs Kids program. Moms are then free to enjoy breakfast, coffee, teaching and discussion, guest speakers, and creative activities.

We look forward to returning to regular in-person meetings this year, but we will continue to evaluate the group's health, safety, and comfort as are are not completely out of the Covid-19 woods.

MOPs typically meets at Immanuel Lutheran School  2nd and 4th Thursdays,  Sept.-May, 9am-11am.  Please see below for a more detailed schedule.

Your first meeting is free! After that, please register. Registration for Immanuel meetings AND a MOPS International Membership is $45 for the year.  A MOPS International membership comes with many exciting perks!

What is MOMSnext?

MOMSnext is a community of moms with kids ages 0-18. Mothers of older children are invited to attend our meetings and evening activities for the 2021-2022 school year. Moms of school-aged children are busy, and they're always in transition. We will build relationships together and explore the questions
"What's your next? And how does God play a part in it?"

Your first meeting is free! After that, please register.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I come to both MOPs and MOMSnext?

A: YES! This year, the two programs are combined.

With so many changes this year, we are simplifying and combining both programs, so you are welcome to join ALL of our meetings, even if your children are older! We will have a combination of morning and evening meetings.

Q: Is there childcare for school-aged children at MOPs on Thursday mornings?

A: Our goal is to  have childcare for children ages 6 and under.  We currently need more volunteers to make this happen, and would appreciate your help in getting the word out!

If there are any weeks that we cannot provide childcare we will make this known ahead of time and adjust our space/and plan to accommodate meeting in the same room as our children.

Q: Is there childcare at  evening meetings?

A: No, there is not.

If you are struggling to find a sitter, or cannot pay for childcare, please contact Tara at tdarling@immanuelrapids.com to connect with volunteers who might be willing to help.

Q: What is the schedule for the 2021-2022 Year?

A: Below is the MOPs official schedule  for the 2021-2022 year.

We will continue to remain flexible if Covid precautions cause any changes to our schedule. Masks are required (as you are able) for all indoor meetings until otherwise noted. I will continue to update the schedule below as we solidify plans with speakers and fill in other topics/discussions.
