What is MOPs?

MOPS  (Mothers of Preschoolers) is for moms at any stage of parenting- pregnancy, preschool, elementary school and beyond! We recognize the benefits of gathering together, encouraging one another, and growing together as moms as wives.” Instead of saying birth to kindergarten.

At MOPs, little ones are dropped off  with loving caregivers as part of the MOPs Kids program. Moms are then free to enjoy breakfast, coffee, teaching and discussion, guest speakers, and creative activities.

We look forward to continuing to meet in person  meetings this year, but we will continue to evaluate the group's health, safety, and comfort as are are not completely out of the Covid-19 woods.

MOPs typically meets at Immanuel Lutheran School  2nd and 4th Thursdays,  Sept.-May, 9am-11am.  Please see below for a more detailed schedule.

Your first meeting is free! After that, please register. Registration for Immanuel meetings AND a MOPS International Membership is $50 for the year.  A MOPS International membership comes with many exciting perks!

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is there childcare for school-aged children at MOPs on Thursday mornings?

A: Our goal is to  have childcare for children ages 6 and under.  We currently need more volunteers, and would appreciate your help in getting the word out!

If there are any weeks that we cannot provide childcare we will make this known ahead of time and adjust our space/and plan to accommodate meeting in the same room as our children.

Q: What if my toddler is a little clingy and needs to be by me?

A:  We totally understand this can be a challenge for some kiddos. They are welcome to join us in our room if needed. You are more than welcome to bring  along some coloring books and snacks to keep them busy.

Q:  I’m a nursing mom. Is there a place to nurse my baby?

A: Currently, we do not have a private, dedicated area. However, please know that we are a nursing positive group and you are more than welcome to do so in our room if you are comfortable

Q:  What if the $50 is a strain for my family?

A:  If you are struggling to find a sitter, or cannot pay for childcare, please contact Hannah at hannahbrew1992@gmail.com to connect with volunteers who might be willing to help.
