September 10th & 11th
Join us between worship services on Sunday, September 10 for games, fun, and prizes as we kick off our Sunday School year!
While the kids are enjoying the games, Nic Cass will walk parents through our plans for a new Sunday School setup for this coming year.
Sign your kids up to take part. Teens and adults are welcomed and encouraged to sign up as helpers for the games.
Eph4 starts this Wednesday! Invite your neighbors. Tell your co-workers. Sign up your family. There is something available for all ages and interests.
The gym doors will open at 5:00pm. Our meal runs through 5:45pm, when we will gather in Keuchle Hall for prayers and a brief message. Group classes begin at 6:00 and conclude at 7:00pm.

The Board of Directors has called for a special Congregational Assembly on Sunday, September 10 at noon. The topic of the meeting will be the building project. A more detailed summary of the meeting will be sent out next week.
Vicar Joseph and his team of volunteers have been busy planning a great event! They have thought through food, entertainment, parking, and logistics. They have done a great deal of advertising: fliers in local businesses, community invitations, even a few radio promotions featuring Vicar Joseph. With that, they have prepared for as many as 300 people.
With a large crowd expected, they need more helpers. They need donations of cupcakes before the event. The morning of the event, they need help setting up and grilling food. During the event, they need help serving food, running games, and helping with crafts. They need helpers afterwards for the cleanup.
We need dozens of helpers to really make this a special event for our Immanuel family and our community. Please register to help at the link below. There are also sign up sheets in the church narthex.
We have more party pails available in the narthex to help you join Jesus as he is working in the lives of those around you! Talk to Pastor Tim, grab a pail, and go! Invite some friends and neighbors to a get together. Take some unhurried time with them. Hear how Jesus is messing with them. Find opportunities to pray.
The Adult Choir has their first practice this Monday, September 11, at 7:00pm. All voices are needed and welcome!
The Thursday morning Bible study has begun meeting at Grace's. Dig into the word with Ted Voelker and a lively group of friends!
Men, join us for our Men's Early Morning Bible Studies each Friday at 6:00am. The group meets in the school's Learning Center.
Immanuel's Quilters resume meeting each Tuesday from 9:00am to noon starting this week. Their quilts are distributed to those in need.
Immanuel's Evening Guild has their first meeting of the fall this Tuesday, September 12 at 4:00pm. This ladies' group meets in the church basement. Want to help them serve Immanuel and serve the community? Sign up below!
Looking for a rewarding way to be involved in the ministry taking place at Immanuel? Become a Stephen Minister! A new training class is starting on Tuesdays beginning September 12th from 6pm-8:30pm. Speak with pastor or one of our Stephen Leaders today, or express interest through the button below.
Do you help someone with medication, meal preparation, or grocery shopping? Do you manage cleaning, laundry, or household chores for someone else? Do you take someone to doctor visits and interpret medical instructions? You may need some help taking care of yourself while you are taking care of others. Join Ann Schlice and Jonna Kronholm for Powerful Tools for Caregivers, a six-week class at St. Luke's. View the class flier below. Registrations due September 20.
- One of Immanuel's Critical Targets is to be "Fully Staffed." During our last Congregational Assembly, we talked about future plans for an Associate Pastor. Pastor Tim and the Board talked about requesting a seminary graduate be assigned to Immanuel in May of 2024. Last week, Pastor Tim submitted the initial paperwork to begin that request process. Our Associate Pastor Call Committee will be able to meet with candidates in January and February. If the congregation moves forward with the request, the synod would inform us in May whether or not we have been assigned a new pastor. We cannot request both a seminary graduate and a vicar, so we will not have a vicar for 2024-2025.
- The students and staff from Immanuel Lutheran School will be holding their annual Walk-a-thon on Friday, September 29. This year, they will be raising funds to help purchase new bathroom dividers throughout our school building. Talk to Principal Betts for more information.
