• 8:00am Worship – Our worship service will include a Backpack Blessing. Students and teachers from all schools are encouraged to bring their backpack with them to receive a special blessing for them on their new school year.
• 10:30am Worship – This service will also include the Backpack Blessing for all teachers and students. In addition, Immanuel will be installing three teachers in new classrooms or specialized subjects: Gracie Kelley (1st Grade), Robyn Ritter (Art), and Lindsay Erickson (Music). Finally, all Immanuel staff members will receive a blessing on their year ahead.
• Noon Picnic – The event will be held in Immanuel’s Mission Center. Immanuel will be cooking hams and slicing them for ham sandwiches. We are asking you to bring some great potluck picnic food. The event will take place from noon to 3pm, with lunch starting at 12:30pm. Please RSVP early to help us plan for food and drinks.

Jobs include vacuuming, shampooing carpet, wiping surfaces, moving desks in the classrooms, and possibly washing windows.

Come one session or all of them. Any help is appreciated! Sessions will be held:

• Tuesday 1-4pm
• Wednesday 1-3pm
• Wednesday 4:30-7pm
• Thursday 8:30am-noon
• Thursday 4:30-7pm

Backpack Blessing/Installations/Fall Kickoff Picnic:  As we detailed above, these events will take place on Sunday, August 23.

Fall Eph4: One of Immanuel’s focal ministries is Eph4, which is a ministry based on Ephesians 4:11-13. This weekly night of fellowship and faith enrichment for the whole family meets each Wednesday at our school building beginning September 9. Doors to our school building open at 5pm for dinner. Classroom devotions start at 5:45pm and classes begin at 6pm. We conclude the evenings at 7pm. Signups will open early next month.

New Bible studies: This past year we had multiple Bible studies for all age ranges taking place throughout each week, having at least one class offered on six days of the week. After Labor Day, Immanuel will reset our Bible classes, and have multiple opportunities each week for you to Grow In Faith! Be ready to join in!

Tailgate Worship/Ministry Fair/Packer Party: We have a big day set for Sunday, September 20. We will start the day with both of our worship services being held outside (weather permitting). These Tailgate Worship Services will be held on the lawn behind our Mission Center. After each service, Immanuel will hold a Ministry Fair inside our Gathering Space which will showcase all our Ministry Action Teams. We will encourage everyone to learn more about the ministries taking place at Immanuel, as well as finding a ministry that is a fit for you. Then, at noon, we will move to the Mission Center for our Packer Party! We will watch the away game versus the Jets as we enjoy some good tailgate food. It should be a great event!

Oktoberfest: Immanuel’s Oktoberfest celebration this year is set for Saturday, October 10 in the Mission Center. This year will again feature live music with the Polka Plus Band! The community is welcome to this free event.

Vendor Fair: The following Saturday, October 17, will feature our Craft and Vender Fair in the Mission Center. We intend to have 36 vendors on site, along with a food truck or two. The event will run from 10am to 2pm.

Trunk or Treat: A community favorite!  We serve hundreds of kids every year through this great event. We will need many volunteers willing to decorate their trunks and distribute candy. Or, donate some candy for distribution. The event will be Saturday, October 24 in the afternoon.

Following the installation service, stay for an open house with refreshments as you explore their school, meet their teachers, and celebrate the beginning of this Christ-centered mission!

Thank you so much for hosting another outstanding blood drive yesterday! Your congregation’s generosity and commitment to serving others resulted in an incredible day, and we are so grateful for your partnership.

Because of the compassion of your donors, lives will be changed right here in our local communities. Every blood donation has the potential to help up to three patients, and each person who rolled up their sleeve made a real difference for neighbors, friends, and families who depend on lifesaving blood every day.

Please extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped make the drive such a success – your coordinators, volunteers, pastors, and especially your donors. It takes an entire church community working together to achieve results like these, and your willingness to answer the call is truly inspiring.

As the sole blood provider for Marshfield Clinic Health System and all Wisconsin VA hospitals, Versiti relies on faithful community partners like Immanuel Lutheran Church to help ensure blood is available whenever patients need it. Your continued support is making a lasting impact.

• This weekend is our final weekend for our July Focus Focus. Throughout the month we have collected breakfast items for the Focus Food Pantry. In August, we will Focus on lunch items and school snacks.
• Next weekend is the final weekend for donations toward Stuff the Bus. Please bring any last items with you to drop off at the Red Wall.
