This summer we will be kicking off a new family ministry that will explore a new theme each quarter through a variety of elements. The theme for our summer quarter is: “Rewind. Be Kind.” This theme is base on Ephesians 4:32, “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” As families wave “hello” to summer with one hand, the also wave “so long” to rhythms and routines with the other. Families find themselves spending more time together as they make memories and have fun in the sun. And, well, more time together doesn’t always equal more kindness.

Each quarter there will be 3 main elements that reinforce the theme and encourage families to grow together in faith.

1. Summer Event: Families will travel through a number of self-guided stations that show kids and families that kindness can be fun! These activities and deliberate conversations will help families show kindness to each other.
2. Summer Celebration: A worship service that gathers families together for hands-on summery activities that celebrate God’s kindness to us and show how we can give that kindness to others, especially within their families.
3. Take Home Family Packs: Talking about faith at home may not come naturally to all parents. These packs are designed to get everyone learning and growing together through family devotions, connect card that link everyday activities to Jesus, and a unique craft that families can do together.
