Get ready – Immanuel’s Fall Festival and Pumpkin Patch are just two short weeks away!
The official start date will be Saturday, October 12. Pumpkins will be on sale throughout the event while supplies last.

Weekends will include additional fun activities for the community, including hayrides, face painting, games, food, and other fall activities.

Saturday, October 19 will include the Trunk or Treat event, and October 26 will include the Harvest Hustle.
The Pumpkin Patch hours will be:
• Saturdays – 9 AM to 7PM
• Mon – Fri – 11AM to 7PM
• Sundays – Noon to 7PM

Help spread the word to the community! Visit Immanuel’s Facebook site and share the events with friends and family throughout the area.

We had a good start last week with volunteers signing up to decorate their trunks and hand out candy to the kids of the community. We still need you! Please volunteer today for this great event on Saturday, October 19.

There’s a second way to help with the Trunk or Treat – donate some prepackaged candy! Please bring your candy to the Mission Center before worship, or during the open hours throughout the week.

Help us wrap up our Fall Festival on Saturday, October 26 for our inaugural Harvest Hustle. The event will support local nonprofits.
We welcome walkers and runners of all abilities for a fun run that begins and ends at our Mission Center. Participants will receive a T-Shirt, Mission Coffee, and snacks. Medals awarded to top male and female runners in each age category.
Proceeds from the race will be split between Immanuel Lutheran Youth, the Hannah Center, and Love Inc.

Thank you to all the parents, grandparents, friends, and Immanuel family for making Thursday’s ILS Walkathon a big success. We are still counting some of the donations that arrived online, but the initial tally shows that our students raised at or above their goal of $18,000! The students walked on Thursday to raise money for new classroom furniture. This will be a multi-year project.

We are all excited about our new location. However, please keep in mind that our new building remains a construction site. Please do not go past the fence without receiving permission first. You can receive permission by speaking with Jonathan Blum, who will then coordinate with Catalyst’s site supervisor to keep everyone safe. Thanks!

We had dozens from the Immanuel family enter our sanctuary last Sunday and Monday. There, they signed their names on the altar area or walls, added a Bible verse or reference, and created a lasting memory.
If you missed the event, we will have another opportunity to sign this current weekend. If you couldn’t make either weekend, please reply to this email and we will see if there is a safe time this coming week for you to add your name.

• If you missed Joseph Eggerman’s second letter to the congregation last week, pick up a copy on the information table.
• Pastor Tim wants us to have consistent hours each week when the Mission Center will be open for all throughout the week. As of now, open hours will be:
o Mondays from 9am to noon
o Tuesdays from 9am to noon
o Wednesdays from 10am to 2pm
o Thursdays from 9am to noon
• Sign up to help with the Sunday Morning Spiritual Cafe this fall. Purchase or serve treats and drinks before and after worship.

Building Update: This past week, Chair Tim Sullivan and Board Secretary Caitlin Shuda signed the accepted offer to purchase on our old church building and parking lots. Wisconsin Rapids Public Schools will take ownership of that land on November 1 with the sale terms you agreed to last summer in your Congregational Assembly. WRPS will buy the property for $1, with the stipulation that they are obligated to remove the asbestos and demolish the building within one year.
We removed the cornerstones from the old building last week. Inside, we found a time capsule! We plan to open it at the November 3 Congregational Assembly. We will have an opportunity to place a new time capsule in the wall of our new sanctuary in a few weeks. Do you have ideas for items to include? Give your ideas to Pastor Tim, or email us at church@immanuelrapids.com.
As you can see in the picture above, the organ pipes have been removed. They will travel to our Mission Center garage racks to be stored for the next four months. They will be the last items installed in our new sanctuary. The pipes are extremely delicate, so please make certain to stay away from them in the storage area.
