What is one of your best memories of being at Immanuel?
As an adult reflecting back on the many memories made at ILS, the lifelong friendships that were formed with each of my classmates stands out. Maybe there is a bit of nostalgia with this, and it could be true with the other classes, but my class seemed to get along fairly well with each other. It felt like an extended family. To this day, I still keep in contact with quite a few of my classmates from ILS. It seems like because of the history it is just nature. My ILS family of teachers and friends are forever etched in my heart.
How has attending Immanuel influenced your life?
Immanuel Lutheran School has been the foundation for my faith. I truly believe I would not be where I am today if it wasn't for ILS. I see how passionately all the teachers and staff work to create such a family-like school that cares so deeply for my children.
Because of ILS and other avenues in my life, my family and I are taking a leap of faith and starting a non-profit retreat called Be Still for pastors and missionaries along with their spouses and support staff. My husband, Jesse, and I are so incredibly passionate about pouring back into those that have made it their calling to pour into us. Our vision is to be a place where they can get away and be still before the Lord.
